About Us
We are a small business solely ran by one person! However, it is very much a family affair!
Our little business has recently rebranded due to the overwhelming support and encouragement from members of our little family! With a massive emphasis on my mother the bravest, kindest and most hard working woman you'll ever meet. She has been so supportive of my little venture and in turn should be mentioned in someway through the name of our brand!
A little behind the name 'Wildflower & Lotus Designs'
My mother and I both were born in July making us Cancers in the zodiacs. We also therefore have the same birth flowers, one of which is the Lotus. Not only that, the symbolic meaning of the Lotus I feel symbolises the way many of those close to us see my mother. The Lotus flower are beautiful flowers that are commonly associated with purity, inner strength and tranquillity, but its symbolism extends beyond that.
The meanings behind the flower relate to the symbolism of the lotus growing out of muddy waters. The flowers’ roots anchor it in the mud, but the flower rises above its murky environment, blossoming open one petal at a time. This is a testament to all that my mother has been through in her life and yet still blooms, fights and thrives.
Teaching all her children through her strength and good nature how to be strong, independant and passionate in everything we do. So now we know where the Lotus comes from it's time for the wildflower.. and the embarrassing side of the story..(Well no one likes to compliment themselves) so I had a little help with this one!
I have always loved wildflowers, they are a species of flowers that have shown themselves to be hardy and self-reproducing, They not only thrive with little to no human intervention but they are perfect pollinators supporting bees and butterflies to do there job! These hardy flowers have even been seen cracking through concrete. There are so many species, colours and varieties of wildflowers, that being said the symbolism for me represents all the aspects of my personality, where I will work hard to thrive in any enviroment, helping others along the way to the best of my ability.
Many people see a logo as just a way to recognise the company. However, the placement of the flowers in our logo are extremely important. The lotus being my mother standing strong centre stage showing the world how beautiful she is despite the murky waters she has been through that lay beneath and the wildflowers, That encapsulate her, growing strong by her side. Protecting her but thriving from her presence.
I hope to grow this little business into something amazing where I can support my family and blossom our lives into something as beautiful as a a garden full of Wildflowers & Lotus'
